October 4th, 2008A Hong Kong based company has introduced a new device that it calls the E Cigarette. The E Cigarette gives the user a hit of nicotine with a touch of water vapor to simulate smoke. The battery powered device also creates a light glow at the tip to provide the ultimate smoking simulation. When a person inhales from the device, they get nicotine that is absorbed in a faster way, which can help users who may be trying to quit smoking. The device takes special nicotine cartridges that can be replaced when it is depleted. The electronic cigarette is available for sale in a few countries, including China, Isreal, and Turkey for 1,600 yuan, which is the equivalent to about $208 US. The device is not yet available in the United States.
